Ivan Stone made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Svetlozar Cholakov sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of T H F C booed when Eurospeed Asti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amlawdd Clifford didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Matty Tinker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Battisti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svetlozar Cholakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Dion Kerridge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute of the match, Fausto Pinti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Stone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svetlozar Cholakov got free with Ivan Stone in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dion Kerridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Damiano Battisti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Stone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svetlozar Cholakov in the 24th minute. When Roger Crossley came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the T H F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Crossley couldn't finish the play. If Matty Tinker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Ivan Stone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ivan Stone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svetlozar Cholakov went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Svetlozar Cholakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Crossley came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Pinti made a kick off. When T H F C's Freddie Bloom in the 50th minute got a chance for a shot 50th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. T H F C's Ivan Stone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svetlozar Cholakov in the 67th minute of play. Eurospeed Asti's Svetlozar Cholakov got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Stone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ivan Stone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Pinti in the 73rd minute of play. Fausto Pinti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Svetlozar Cholakov came free, but Ivan Stone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Crossley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Svetlozar Cholakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Stone. T H F C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svetlozar Cholakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Freddie Bloom might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damiano Battisti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddie Bloom ran back to his position shaking his head. Svetlozar Cholakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Stone having to interfere. T H F C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
