Jolan Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigoris Kornaros, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match tHe SOnS of rAGnar got a corner. La Pointe Courte's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grigoris Kornaros ran over to the corner to take the kick. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Pointe Courte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Grigoris Kornaros was slow to take the kick. During this time tHe SOnS of rAGnar's players had a chance to rest. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Grigoris Kornaros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jolan Galindo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Norling in the 16th minute of play forced La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Kosmas Salaminiotis with Benjamin Mikolas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Felenak in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Sá saved tHe SOnS of rAGnar from getting behind. With a little luck, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's José Sá got control of the ball when Roch Felenak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jolan Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Giardino in the 36th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Walter Giardino made the kick off in the second half. Walter Giardino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jolan Galindo made a huge save. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Telis Ntasios replaced Benjamin Mikolas. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Charis Leontiou was substituted for Grigoris Kornaros. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Pointe Courte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kosmas Salaminiotis was slow to take the kick. During this time tHe SOnS of rAGnar's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Charis Leontiou got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jolan Galindo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Yves Leite replaced Roch Felenak. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Giannis Papoutsakis was substituted for Kosmas Salaminiotis. If Yves Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute Yves Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Yves Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Sá was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Yves Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. La Pointe Courte's Josué Pagueguy got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yves Leite in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Pointe Courte fans cheered their team off the field, for while tHe SOnS of rAGnar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
