A collision led to Pecém getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Nicuşor Nebunu hit a great ball. Evaristo Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xie Shu Tian in the 23rd minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Nicolás Blandi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuervos AFC and the Pecém players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Xie Shu Tian ran back to his position shaking his head. Evaristo Roldan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Lucio Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Evaristo Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian in the 84th minute of play. Xie Shu Tian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Petrigai struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Denílson Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuervos AFC. The Pecém fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Pecém's Xie Shu Tian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cuervos AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
