Ibon Obeso was slow to take the kick. During this time Pecém's players had a chance to rest. Washington de Lara came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Pecém's Xie Shu Tian. But to his dismay, Xie Shu Tian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Xie Shu Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pecém's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ibon Obeso in the 26th minute. The Pecém fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Pecém's Xie Shu Tian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicuşor Nebunu came free, but Washington de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Xie Shu Tian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Washington de Lara was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Maraschin to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, André Maraschin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Denílson Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xie Shu Tian in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute André Maraschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute Xie Shu Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denílson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Maraschin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 62 minutes into the match, André Maraschin notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Pecém's Denílson Leão. After a rather tough play, Tirense F.C.'s Sun 孙冰冰 got a free kick in the 85th minute. Washington de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xie Shu Tian's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tirense F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ibon Obeso was slow to take the kick. During this time Pecém's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Nicuşor Nebunu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 92nd match minute, Pecém was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tirense F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
