Roch Felenak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Anders Larsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th minute Celso Meder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jolan Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Jacinto Olentzaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jolan Galindo. La Pointe Courte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Olentzaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Celso Meder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roch Felenak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Anders Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Padro charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Padro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Club Atletico Fenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Padro to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Meder made a kick off. Jolan Galindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Meder's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The audience was convinced that Roch Felenak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anders Larsson was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Roch Felenak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Pointe Courte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Yves Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Pointe Courte's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Larsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atletico Fenix made a substitution. Inocencio Ugutz replaced Fabian Arenaza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Leite in the 78th minute of play forced Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Anders Larsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
