A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Felenak in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Marcin Pachucki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jolan Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roch Felenak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Glenn Fyfe came out and tried to block the shot, but Roch Felenak slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. If Gianluca Prestin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Batistuta in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jolan Galindo saved La Pointe Courte from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Löfgren came free, but Jolan Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Batistuta in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jolan Galindo saved La Pointe Courte from getting behind. Jolan Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Löfgren in the 34th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Impens to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Gianluca Prestin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Pointe Courte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A4p FC Gad the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Jolan Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Batistuta in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when King Scorpio got free with Jolan Galindo in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Manzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Yves Leite replaced Roch Felenak. A4p FC Gad's Flavius Cândroveanu was substituted for James Batistuta. La Pointe Courte's Pawel Harendarski was substituted for Josué Pagueguy. The supporters of La Pointe Courte booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Manzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Gică Busuioc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A4p FC Gad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Yves Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Pointe Courte's Jelle Ceustermans managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anfilogino Manzi in the 87 minute of the game. Glenn Fyfe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Prestin in the 91st minute of the match. La Pointe Courte's Jelle Ceustermans quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anfilogino Manzi, made in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 95th minute Gianluca Prestin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Fyfe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
