Chen Ao Fan started the match with the kick off. Karl-Erik Norström made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Zeca Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Erik Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Inguma in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Knut Rudberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Erik Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Gombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Chen Ao Fan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Georg Norström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Erik Norström made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Zeca Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Erik Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Inguma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Gabriel Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Ipar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Keegan during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Håkan Kruse got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Kevin Keegan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chen Ao Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Lobos de Carelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match, Zeca Fernandez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karl-Erik Norström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Skövde AIK were furious when Krister Uggstedt was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Krister Uggstedt hit a great ball. Karl-Erik Norström was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adolfo Gombal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Zeca Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Karl-Erik Norström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Inguma, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Hamrin came free, but Feliberto Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lobos de Carelia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chen Ao Fan was slow to take the kick. During this time Skövde AIK's players had a chance to rest. Serafino Venerando tried in the 66th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Feliberto Ipar a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-1. Lobos de Carelia made a substitution. Prospero Perico replaced Zeca Fernandez. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Gombal in the 71st minute of play. Feliberto Ipar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 81st minute of play. Adolfo Gombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Norström having to interfere. In the 87th minute Amancio Cheche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Norström. Adolfo Gombal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Chen Ao Fan. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
