When Radowit Siedlecki fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortaty's protests and gave Radowit Siedlecki a yellow card for diving instead. Radowit Siedlecki kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Konstanty Chlapowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 4th minute of play. Gortaty's Konstanty Chlapowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Milosz Rzeszutek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortaty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gortaty's Milosz Rzeszutek got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gortaty's Konstanty Chlapowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th play minute Wincent Cwojdak came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nestor Quintal. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos de Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konstanty Chlapowski. Gortaty's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Konstanty Chlapowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Zé Carlos de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstanty Chlapowski was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Gortaty's Bartosz Chrzan got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If José Vítor Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Konstanty Chlapowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Monteiro in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Gortaty got a freekick which was hit by Milosz Rzeszutek. After the first half Independente FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Carlos de Azevedo made a kick off. Gustaw Basaik hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Konstanty Chlapowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Ribeiro went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute Wincent Cwojdak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Zé Carlos de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Chlapowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 74th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Konstanty Chlapowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes Gortaty got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Grajewski. 79 minutes into the game, Marco Monteiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Konstanty Chlapowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 84 played minutes Zé Carlos de Azevedo rounded Gortaty's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-6. Konstanty Chlapowski was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Zé Carlos de Azevedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Carlos de Azevedo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Zé Carlos de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Konstanty Chlapowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. Independente FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
