The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vaughn Willingham during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vaughn Willingham hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Tyrone McCracken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tyrone McCracken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Lastur in the 8th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Halcones got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Buinton. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Hector Welch got a free kick in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Hector Welch notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Halcones's Esteve Acosta. Esteve Acosta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Halcones's Esteve Acosta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curt Buddle in the 20th minute of play. When Curt Buddle came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Kentucky Mustangs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curt Buddle couldn't finish the play. Tyrone McCracken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Dimo in the 26th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Hector Welch notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Halcones's Esteve Acosta. Esteve Acosta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melvin Snyder to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kentucky Mustangs getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Vaughn Willingham hit a great ball. Kentucky Mustangs's Tyrone McCracken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Dimo in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Lastur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Halcones got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Buinton. Curt Buddle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteve Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curt Buddle in the 61st minute of play. Esteve Acosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Welch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wilber Pearson fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kentucky Mustangs's protests and gave Wilber Pearson a yellow card for diving instead. Keenan Hollandsworth charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keenan Hollandsworth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keenan Hollandsworth to maneuver through the defense. Florencio Lastur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Tyrone McCracken when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Halcones defense, Hector Welch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Acosta. The Halcones fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Acosta should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute Hector Welch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Acosta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Vaughn Willingham got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Florencio Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteve Acosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curt Buddle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halcones's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kentucky Mustangs had won, even though Halcones had held more of the ball.
