After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Jonas Esteves got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Souza in the 11th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos de Azevedo got free with Carlos Augusto Palmeira in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Alexandre Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Souza in the 15th minute of play. Nestor Quintal came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Raining Blood's Gualter Secco. But to his dismay, Gualter Secco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. João Pedro Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 minutes of play, Raining Blood's João Pedro Souza made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Quintal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Augusto Palmeira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ciro Ribeiro. Carlos Augusto Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Raining Blood's Carlos Augusto Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Cabral in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Secco came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match Paulo José Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Palmeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nestor Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to Raining Blood getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Victor Linares hit a great ball. The Independente FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Raining Blood were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
