An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Bollström in the 12th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Mauricio Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Wargön booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Astigar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Törnkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Fernanco. RIVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Rune Törnkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Wargön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Lange to maneuver through the defense. Sivert Bollström hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jan-Åke Ståhlman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Txordon in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Txordon came free, but Jan-Åke Ståhlman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Kenneth Lange sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute Wictor Pihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Pihlberg in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Pascual Eneas made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Åke Ståhlman. Wargön's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Mauricio Fernanco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kenneth Lange's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. RIVER's Mauricio Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sivert Bollström in the 44th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Andreasson in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Fernanco saved RIVER from getting behind.

In the 58th minute, Wictor Pihlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Fernanco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jan-Åke Ståhlman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Eneas in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Sivert Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Fernanco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. If Hernan Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sivert Bollström in the 90th minute of the match. If Kenneth Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Eustacio Nevada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wargön walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
