In the 6th minute of the match Callegari got a corner. Halcones's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alessandro Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. Oswaldo Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Esteve Acosta made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Callegari's Oswaldo Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteve Acosta. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Esteve Acosta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Callegari's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Lastur came free, but Cícero Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteve Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Cearense in the 21st minute of play. Celestino Buinton hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Durval Zonta from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Esteve Acosta's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Chicão Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Callegari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Sergipano couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Breckenfeld made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Halcones's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Breckenfeld came free, but Esteve Acosta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Moraes in the 56th minute of play forced Halcones's goalkeeper Esteve Acosta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alessandro Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Callegari got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Cearense. Halcones's Esteve Acosta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Cearense in the 82nd minute of play. Esteve Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Sergipano in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Oswaldo Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Acosta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Alessandro Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Esteve Acosta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Esteve Acosta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Breckenfeld's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. There was no doubt that Callegari were the better team. Callegari's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
