After a rather tough play, Halcones's Marcelino Javiar got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Halcones's Esteve Acosta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Halcones from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Florencio Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteve Acosta made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Bon Guidetti sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Nyberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Esteve Acosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bon Guidetti might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Acosta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bon Guidetti ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 30 in the game by Bon Guidetti from a close distance when the talented Esteve Acosta managed to make a qualified save. Halcones's players were relieved. Dan Hegg charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Hegg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dan Hegg hit a great ball. Marcelino Javiar struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Halcones. In the 33rd minute, Florencio Lastur made a precise shot to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt. Karen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Celestino Buinton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halcones's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Buinton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Åke Smitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Gunnar Bure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Florencio Lastur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt. Karen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Lastur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Karen FC's Bon Guidetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteve Acosta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Halcones were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bon Guidetti to strike the kick off in the second half. Dan Hegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Halcones's goal looked a bit too open when Bon Guidetti came free, but Esteve Acosta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Halcones's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Bure came free, but Esteve Acosta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes, Leon Mambru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halcones and the Karen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florencio Lastur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt-Åke Smitt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Esteve Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Hegg in the 76th minute of the match. Ladislao Gipuzkoa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Esteve Acosta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bon Guidetti went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Linus Brovall kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Halcones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Magnus Hjortsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Hjortsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteve Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bon Guidetti in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Guidetti in the 95th minute of play forced Halcones's goalkeeper Esteve Acosta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
