Sporting Club Victoria's Hernan Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Dolfo in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Sporting Club Victoria getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Roberto Endura hit a great ball. After the first half La Gallardeta were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ruben Dolfo made the kick off in the second half. Sporting Club Victoria's Hernan Licerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Club Victoria from getting a goal against them. If Albano Aurken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Eladio came free, but Marcelo Bikendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Club Victoria's goalkeeper Hernan Licerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodolfo Goito took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Licerio. Hernan Licerio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Hernan Licerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Dolfo in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club Victoria's zone, Paulo Romelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Licerio came out of the goal and Paulo Romelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute Ruben Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Licerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Ruben Dolfo got a free kick in the 97th minute.
