The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Clemente Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. 29 minutes into the match, Benedito Mineiro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sporting Club Victoria's Hernan Licerio. Hernan Licerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anísio Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hernan Licerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
