Cuervos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Illan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gregorio Sabino kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Guadalupe was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's attack was well implemented in the 55th minute, but when Mauricio Guadalupe was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuervos AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
