Bernardo Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julien Staffelbach in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 10th minute Linköpings AIK were awarded a corner. Willy Witarya went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Linköpings AIK's Willy Witarya to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardo Leiria despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Julien Staffelbach dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Leiria, 2-0. A sloppy throw-in by Alexandre Barbosa in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Linköpings AIK's Willy Witarya. 36 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Leiria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julien Staffelbach to make the kick off. When Valério Vilaça came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the SLB TELHA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Vilaça couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Bernardo Leiria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute Julien Staffelbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SLB TELHA's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Julien Staffelbach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Leiria. SLB TELHA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julien Staffelbach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Bernardo Leiria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Staffelbach went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Paulo Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute of the game Alexandre Barbosa made a throw-in which Gaspar Correia played forward. Liboslav Krušina hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SLB TELHA's Luís Ribas got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Julien Staffelbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Jimmy Olsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valério Vilaça in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 91st minute of play forced SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Bernardo Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julien Staffelbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
