Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAS the free kick. Quinton Isern hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Guadalupe to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Mauricio Guadalupe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAS's Edvaldo Brasil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Edgar Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petru Nisporeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, SAS's Edvaldo Brasil got control of the ball when Quinton Isern tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mauricio Guadalupe came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Guadalupe couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Örjan Forssell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Brasil having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Quinton Isern recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edvaldo Brasil. Quinton Isern showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Guadalupe in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Llope Ojeda hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes SAS got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Salles. 83 minutes into the match, SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Forssell. Edvaldo Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Guadalupe in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, SAS's Edvaldo Brasil got control of the ball when Liu Yan Yan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 87 played minutes SAS got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Valle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Baiano during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
