Esteve Seber made in the 10th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Victoriano Tonete. A nice corner shot did that Mauricio Macías got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jimmy Olsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CERPA's goalie prevented a goal. Jimmy Olsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Macías in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Julien Staffelbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköpings AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Julien Staffelbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Asier was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Linköpings AIK's attentive Willy Witarya managed to snatch the ball when Esteve Seber made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Julien Staffelbach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Asier having to make a save. Eugenio Asier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Staffelbach in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, CERPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Seber to maneuver through the defense. If Julien Staffelbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 41st minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Asier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julien Staffelbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Olsson having to interfere. Eugenio Asier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Staffelbach went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Macías to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Mauricio Macías made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the match, CERPA's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Staffelbach came free, but Eugenio Asier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Asier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 82nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-6. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERPA's goalkeeper Eugenio Asier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Linköpings AIK's corner Marbjörn Garpsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eugenio Asier quite easily take care of the ball. Marbjörn Garpsson got in the 86th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Eugenio Asier and thus it was 2-7. 90 minutes into the game, Esteve Seber threw the ball into play from the sideline. Linköpings AIK's Willy Witarya quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Linköpings AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marbjörn Garpsson in the 93rd minute. The corner ended in Marbjörn Garpsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CERPA's Eugenio Asier did a great save. If Julien Staffelbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CERPA's Eugenio Asier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save CERPA from getting a goal against them. The Linköpings AIK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
