Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nelsinho Marinho took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Nelsinho Marinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustavo Gustavson. Nelsinho Marinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 7th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fernando Pras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Matorin. Fernando Pras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 18th minute of the match. Armando Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fernando Pras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Ronaldo Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Terra came free, but Fernando Pras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Terra in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Pras saved Palestra do Interior from getting behind. In the 25th minute David Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Pras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno de Senna to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. David Vale hit a great ball. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Pras having to interfere. Richard Ríos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Hugo Favoretto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Pras. Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Claudinho Terra made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd play minute Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Pras. 1-2. Claudinho Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Pras having to interfere. New Joinville - FSCMZ were furious when Diamantino Britto was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New Joinville - FSCMZ! After some careless play in the New Joinville - FSCMZ defense, Nelsinho Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Gustavson. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Gustavson should have stopped the shot. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Deivid Vander replaced Thomás Cardoso. Anísio Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Nelsinho Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Gustavson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 72nd minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Deivid Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Joinville - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra do Interior the free kick. In the 91st minute, Hugo Favoretto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras didn't even have to move. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
