Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s José Maria Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Sarmento in the 11th minute of play. João Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho Furtado in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Téo Mangueira in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Fernandez saved Capivara FC from getting behind. In the 18thth minute of the game Adrianinho Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capivara FC's João Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Capivara FC booed when Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júnior Veloso charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júnior Veloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Capivara FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Júnior Veloso hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Moreno to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Bebeto Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capivara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebeto Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Celso Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capivara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Capivara FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®:s goal. Capivara FC:s João Fernandez showed great skill when he stopped Nildo Maciel:s penalty. Nildo Maciel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 40 minutes, Erasmo Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capivara FC and the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Júnior Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bebeto Sarmento made a kick off. If Téo Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®! When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Capivara FC's Júnior Veloso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Maria Ramos. João Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Capixaba in the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Veloso came free, but José Maria Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Betão Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Capivara FC's Marcelo Saldanha got a free kick in the 97th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capivara FC's zone, Nildo Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Fernandez came out of the goal and Nildo Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
