Sporting Angola's Freddy Sein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Fanuco in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hooligans's goalkeeper Jedrzej Fleischer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claus Wüllbier. Claus Wüllbier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Fleischer having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Jaramillo Amundarain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Angola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaramillo Amundarain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
