Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Curcă to make the kick off. Eurospeed Asti's Alvise Caporale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Eurospeed Asti from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Eurospeed Asti's zone, Mihai Măliță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Caporale came out of the goal and Mihai Măliță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Fanaticii's Florin Pruneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Renzi in the 76th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Eurospeed Asti got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Parente. The audience was convinced that Mihai Măliță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvise Caporale was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. A hard shot 89 in the game by Gică Curcă from a close distance when the talented Alvise Caporale managed to make a qualified save. Eurospeed Asti's players were relieved. Alvise Caporale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Măliță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
