After having played for 10 minutes, Evert Apelkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Apelkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Francisc Ciocâlteu hit a great ball. Florin Pruneda came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ghost Hunters's Mattias Borglin. But to his dismay, Mattias Borglin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 16th minute Mattias Borglin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Pruneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Borglin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Fanaticii booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Marius Măgură was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Fanaticii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghost Hunters the free kick. In the 37th match minute, FC Fanaticii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Măgură to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ghost Hunters's Mark Mickelsson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Gică Curcă made a precise shot to the right of Stig-Arne Biörnberg. Ghost Hunters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Ghost Hunters made a substitution. Nils-Emil Hedbom replaced Helge Ståhlman. FC Fanaticii's Remus Ostoici was substituted for Francisc Ciocâlteu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gică Curcă was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mattias Borglin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th match minute, Ghost Hunters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Höijer to maneuver through the defense. Marius Măgură sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Emil Hedbom scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Pruneda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute, Remus Ostoici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robin Borglin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Florin Pruneda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Victor Wenerdahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Fanaticii's Eric Apostu got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Fanaticii's Florin Pruneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Borglin in the 88th minute of play. Stig-Arne Biörnberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gică Curcă in the 92nd minute. After having played for 99 minutes, Robin Borglin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Borglin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ghost Hunters players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
