The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, RÖK's Tjark Heerdt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Björkdahl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Damian Kasprzak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute of the game Edinson Cavani made a throw-in which Damian Kasprzak played forward. RÖK's Carlos Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 12th minute of play. Carlos Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Okoyomon Charles Pinazas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shadows United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, RÖK's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Kasprzak came free, but Carlos Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shadows United's Kurt Björkdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Shadows United from getting a goal against them. Kurt Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Chuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Shadows United's Edinson Cavani got a free kick in the 34th minute. Carlos Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Clodio in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Erasmo Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Montenegro came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Shadows United's Okoyomon Charles Pinazas. But to his dismay, Okoyomon Charles Pinazas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Erasmo Clodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Shadows United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Olaf Wisniewski got free with Carlos Montenegro in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52nd match minute, Shadows United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinson Cavani to maneuver through the defense. Shadows United's Kurt Björkdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tjark Heerdt in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarrett Hogan during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 72nd minute of play forced RÖK's goalkeeper Carlos Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Tjark Heerdt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Shadows United booed when RÖK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tjark Heerdt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Tjark Heerdt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kurt Björkdahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. RÖK made a substitution. Uffe Outzing replaced Charles Laguna. RÖK made a substitution. David Chucho replaced Leo Chuse. Erasmo Clodio in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Montenegro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kurt Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Chucho in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Kasprzak got free with Carlos Montenegro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shadows United played a much better game than RÖK and deserved their victory. The RÖK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
