Karl-Erik Norström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Chen Ao Fan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Esbjörn Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 19 minutes, Kevin Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Lindberg in the 31st minute of play. Karl-Erik Norström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitaliy van der Aa's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Kevin Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Keegan couldn't finish the play. In the 39th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Håkan Kruse to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the game, one of GrassNuts FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Esbjörn Tunander had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Kevin Keegan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kevin Keegan took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Tunander. Esbjörn Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Love Bianca in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The wind increased when Chen Ao Fan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Hjalmar Hägert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match Skövde AIK got a corner. GrassNuts FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chen Ao Fan ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chen Ao Fan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Esbjörn Tunander quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 55th minute, Chen Ao Fan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Skövde AIK were furious when Filip Brolin was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. GrassNuts FC made a substitution. Philip Åkerman replaced Love Bianca. After 73 minutes Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström managed, with a little bit of luck, save Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After some careless play in the Skövde AIK defense, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Erik Norström. The Skövde AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Erik Norström should have stopped the shot. Karl-Erik Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitaliy van der Aa in the 80th minute of the match. Karl-Erik Norström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre-Emile Højbjerg in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Pär Almkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GrassNuts FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skövde AIK the free kick. 86 minutes into the match, Chen Ao Fan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esbjörn Tunander. GrassNuts FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chen Ao Fan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With 89 minutes on the clock, Pär Almkvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 90th minute, Pär Almkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Brian Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match GrassNuts FC got a corner. Skövde AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gösta Vennerkvist heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Kruse in the 99th minute of play forced GrassNuts FC's goalkeeper Esbjörn Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skövde AIK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
