The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Bazellatin F.C.'s Oscar-Alfredo Ruggieri got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute of the match FC Blueskatterna got a corner. Bazellatin F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Pedersson ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Blueskatterna's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nikiforos Karnezakis 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Billing in the 10th minute of play forced Bazellatin F.C.'s goalkeeper 苏骋夕 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Nikiforos Karnezakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ingvar Kilstedt, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikiforos Karnezakis got free with Ingvar Kilstedt in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Kristoffer Billing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 苏骋夕 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Blueskatterna getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jonathan Bohlin hit a great ball. 苏骋夕 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Björkman's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 苏骋夕 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Kilstedt made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Nikiforos Karnezakis sent off a good shot on target. FC Blueskatterna's Ingvar Kilstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikiforos Karnezakis in the 39th minute of play. Alvin Esbjörnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvin Esbjörnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alvin Esbjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Nikiforos Karnezakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Ingvar Kilstedt made a huge save. When Giannis Kousas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bazellatin F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Kousas couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's goalkeeper Ingvar Kilstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikiforos Karnezakis. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nikiforos Karnezakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingvar Kilstedt having to make a save. FC Blueskatterna's Ingvar Kilstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikiforos Karnezakis in the 51st minute of play. Ingvar Kilstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikiforos Karnezakis in the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nikiforos Karnezakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingvar Kilstedt was relentless in the 60th minute of the game.
