Pepino’s's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Albages was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, José Javier Astete took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Virginijus Taujanskas to make any attempt to save it. In the 15th minute Domenico Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virginijus Taujanskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Aleksotas FK's goalkeeper Virginijus Taujanskas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Javier Astete. After a defensive mix-up in Aleksotas FK's zone, Gustavo Albages stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virginijus Taujanskas came out of the goal and Gustavo Albages tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pepino’s's Balendín Tineo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Gustavo Albages had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virginijus Taujanskas. Aleksotas FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Albages was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Aleksotas FK's Augustinas Baliutis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Virginijus Taujanskas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Javier Astete went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When Gustavo Albages came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the C.D. Pepino’s fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Albages couldn't finish the play. Virginijus Taujanskas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Albages in the 39th minute. Virginijus Taujanskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Albages in the 41st minute of play. Pepino’s booed when Aleksotas FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daumantas Sabaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Gustavo Albages in the 66th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Virginijus Taujanskas's left hand side.
