Måns Lundqvist's late challenge caught a Aleksotas FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Måns Lundqvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Aleksotas FK booed when Hudiksvalls United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Lundqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilius Latvėnas in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl Rönn saved Hudiksvalls United from getting behind. After 9 played minutes Hudiksvalls United got a freekick which was hit by Ulrik Månsson. In the 11th minute Vilius Latvėnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Rönn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nedas Stulpinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Måns Lundqvist made a precise shot to the right of Virginijus Taujanskas. Aleksotas FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Vilius Latvėnas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Rönn was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The referee showed Augustinas Baliutis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th match minute, Hudiksvalls United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Överman to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Oskar Bergman during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 minutes, Holger Vinström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hudiksvalls United and the Aleksotas FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute Aleksotas FK were awarded a corner. Vilius Latvėnas went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Benjaminas Česnauskas to score against Karl Rönn in Hudiksvalls United's goal. 1-4 after 98 minutes. Aleksotas FK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hudiksvalls United's much stronger midfield.
