The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Ferraris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Duckadam having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Kay Stormlund made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute of the match Cesate got a corner. RO Army V55's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Ferraris ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 11th match minute, RO Army V55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Makris to maneuver through the defense. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kay Stormlund in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Thomas Kourmoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Peridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Kay Stormlund put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. Kay Stormlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Helmuth Duckadam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ferraris, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The Cesate fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Cesate's Kay Stormlund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kay Stormlund in the 25th minute of play forced RO Army V55's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kay Stormlund took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Helmuth Duckadam. Helmuth Duckadam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Kourmoulis in the 31st minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Manolis Peridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kay Stormlund in the 32nd minute of play forced RO Army V55's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kay Stormlund in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved RO Army V55 from getting behind. After 36th play minutes Kay Stormlund shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Helmuth Duckadam and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 40th minute Soulis Souanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Peridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kay Stormlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Helmuth Duckadam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kay Stormlund in the 44th minute of the match. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kay Stormlund in the 48th minute of play. The RO Army V55 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cesate were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Kourmoulis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kay Stormlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Helmuth Duckadam having to make a save. Felice Frezza kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Felice Frezza hit a great ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Angelo Vettori who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute, Attilio Mazzone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 62 played minutes RO Army V55 got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Kourmoulis. RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save RO Army V55 from getting a goal against them. Manolis Peridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Soulis Souanis in the 64th minute of the match. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Vettori in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Cesate got a corner. Gustaw Nienajadlo made a great header on Cesate's corner, it was just that RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam managed to reach the ball for a save. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Vettori in the 75th minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Vettori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Vettori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Helmuth Duckadam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes in the game, Gustaw Nienajadlo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Helmuth Duckadam having to interfere. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Vettori in the 82nd minute of the match. In the last second Helmuth Duckadam throw himself and got hold of the ball when Angelo Vettori in the 84thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Vettori in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved RO Army V55 from getting behind. Attilio Mazzone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in RO Army V55's zone, Angelo Ferraris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmuth Duckadam came out of the goal and Angelo Ferraris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florian Carlini hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Cesate played a much better game than RO Army V55 and deserved their victory. The RO Army V55 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
