Thanks to some nice moves Manuel Thöny could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Donald Calder however easily saved by the left post. Mbenghis's Graeme Patterson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Barney Winship got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Thöny kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Mbenghis's Antony Dothery got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Noser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barney Winship in the 26th minute of play. Donald Calder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Thöny in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Sean Rider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Bürzle got free with Donald Calder in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mbenghis's Antony Dothery in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th minute Raphael Nigg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Calder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Barney Winship's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Noser was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graeme Patterson in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Noser saved Liechtenstein City from getting behind. When Antony Dothery came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mbenghis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antony Dothery couldn't finish the play. Liechtenstein City's Daniel Noser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graeme Patterson in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barney Winship to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Liechtenstein City got a freekick which was hit by René Erköseoglu. After having played for 57 minutes, Antony Dothery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mbenghis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antony Dothery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Mbenghis's Barney Winship sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Noser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Noser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Philpott's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Donald Calder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Thöny, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Daniel Noser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barney Winship, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antony Dothery received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Noser came out and tried to block the shot, but Antony Dothery slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Mbenghis's Antony Dothery sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Noser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denis Philpott might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Noser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Philpott ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Noser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barney Winship's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mbenghis's goalkeeper Donald Calder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Mbenghis's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Thöny came free, but Donald Calder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Noser was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Antony Dothery capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antony Dothery really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. When Graeme Patterson came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mbenghis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graeme Patterson couldn't finish the play. Daniel Noser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antony Dothery in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mbenghis's Barney Winship slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Noser. That made the score 1-4 after 93 minutes of play. Mbenghis's Donald Calder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Nigg in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mbenghis left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Liechtenstein City.
