The audience was convinced that Kai Kamarche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Haritzeder was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Paddy Aceto was slow to take the kick. During this time Lugano's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Paddy Aceto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Avellaneda's Fabian Haritzeder did a great save. 35 minutes into the match, Lugano's Kai Kamarche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Haritzeder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabian Haritzeder was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kai Kamarche showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Kai Kamarche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avellaneda's Fabian Haritzeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabian Haritzeder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kai Kamarche's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Bruno Guimarães who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Fabian Haritzeder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 48th minute, Kai Kamarche reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabian Haritzeder. The goal made the score 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evelio Gai to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucius Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Laurin in the 54th minute of the match. Fabian Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Kamarche, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Lugano's Patrizio Huber got a free kick in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Bruno Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Haritzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 77 minutes, Kai Kamarche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Kamarche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Guimarães in the 79th minute of play forced Avellaneda's goalkeeper Fabian Haritzeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Socorro. The referee gave Lugano a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paddy Aceto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Avellaneda's Fabian Haritzeder. 6-0. Kai Kamarche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th match minute, Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrizio Huber to maneuver through the defense. Lugano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
