An unexpectedly hard shot by Miftah Kalabessi in the 10th minute of play forced Thorin SC's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Joaquim Guerra suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fajar Songgonau during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ari Sutimbul in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Syahril Kartolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Lima in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otong Mulyana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tanjung Fire's Ari Sutimbul got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izaak Abidin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Hugo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thorin SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tanjung Fire's Gery Woof got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Jonathan Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gery Woof kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Hugo Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thorin SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 45 played minutes Thorin SC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Freitas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ari Sutimbul in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Miguel saved Thorin SC from getting behind. If Hugo Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ari Sutimbul to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Tanjung Fire's Izaak Abidin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Miguel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute, Tanjung Fire's Ari Sutimbul ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Miguel. Carlos Miguel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Claudinei Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Otong Mulyana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Zein Kertaradjasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Carlos Miguel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Izaak Abidin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tanjung Fire's supporters rose to their feet, but Izaak Abidin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Miguel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Claudinei Ceresso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thorin SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tanjung Fire the free kick. Carlos Miguel made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Miftah Kalabessi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Thorin SC's Jonathan Lira got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Aldri Suminta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Miguel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Tanjung Fire's Miftah Kalabessi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Miguel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zein Kertaradjasa got free with Carlos Miguel in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tanjung Fire's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
