When Stephen Falkingham came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Latchingdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Falkingham couldn't finish the play. Celestino Eguntsenti received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ron Blowman came out and tried to block the shot, but Celestino Eguntsenti slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Evelio Gai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Ron Blowman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Latchingdon's Stephen Falkingham sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Haritzeder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Latchingdon getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pat Hanley hit a great ball. Evelio Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Avellaneda's Evelio Gai ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ron Blowman. Ron Blowman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Severiano Carlomagno took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Blowman. Ron Blowman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Socorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Falkingham came free, but Fabian Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Latchingdon's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Severiano Carlomagno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 34 minutes, Stew Bettinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latchingdon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stew Bettinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evelio Gai struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ron Blowman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avellaneda. Stephen Falkingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Haritzeder having to interfere. Silvestre Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Blowman having to interfere. Jay Louis hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Santo Venceslao came free in the 47th minute and tried to tip the ball over Ron Blowman, but to the joy of Latchingdon's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
In the 51st minute, Victorino Laurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ron Blowman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Gai's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Latchingdon's Stew Bettinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Haritzeder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Stew Bettinson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabian Haritzeder. The goal made the score 3-2. Victorino Laurin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Evelio Gai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ron Blowman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Latchingdon getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Pat Hanley hit a great ball. Victorino Laurin took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Blowman. Ron Blowman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Latchingdon's Ron Blowman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Laurin in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Laurin in the 72nd minute of play forced Latchingdon's goalkeeper Ron Blowman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evelio Gai in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ron Blowman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Jacobo Buinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Avellaneda's goalkeeper Fabian Haritzeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stew Bettinson. The supporters of Latchingdon booed when Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Eguntsenti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Latchingdon's goalkeeper Ron Blowman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Stephen Falkingham came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Latchingdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Falkingham couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Buinton. Avellaneda's Fabian Haritzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Fabian Haritzeder made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Stew Bettinson sent off a good shot on target. Avellaneda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
