A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dani Carbajal hit a great ball. Grigore Mălaimare made in the 16th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fernando Amorebieta however managed to control. In the 17th minute, Jerzy Niedbalski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scarafia Ghost was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Iustin Bâru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lin Hong Song was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lin Hong Song made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Bâru in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, FC Czermno's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Lin Hong Song reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Ronny Åman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Czermno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Åman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scarafia Ghost stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerzy Niedbalski's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. FC Czermno's Lin Hong Song played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 50th minute, Iustin Bâru made a precise shot to the right of Lin Hong Song. FC Czermno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a little luck, FC Czermno's Lin Hong Song got control of the ball when Fernando Amorebieta tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Czermno's Arkadiusz Karanowski was substituted for Zula Wicherek. In the 65th minute of the match FC Czermno got a corner. Go Ahead Eagles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loukas Karaliopoulos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ronny Åman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost did a great save. After 67 played minutes FC Czermno got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Larsson. Bo-Erik Larsson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Czermno's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Vural Akyol in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Czermno's Leon Goretzka. In the 75th minute Fernando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Hong Song saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Niedbalski came free, but Scarafia Ghost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Czermno's goalkeeper Lin Hong Song, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Go Ahead Eagles's Miltiadis Bourlokas was substituted for Iustin Bâru. 91 minutes into the game, Grigore Mălaimare threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Czermno's Leon Goretzka quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. FC Czermno's Lin Hong Song proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save FC Czermno from getting a goal against them. Leon Goretzka charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Goretzka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Leon Goretzka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
