Marcell Lázár started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cosula-BTF-'s zone, Máté Paszkál stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Marin came out of the goal and Máté Paszkál tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Máté Paszkál came free, but Ovidiu Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Nagyváradi AC booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Giurcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Cosula-BTF- getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Aurelian Giurcă hit a great ball. Ovidiu Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottó Márkus in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Zoltán Solti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nagyváradi AC and the FC Cosula-BTF- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Irinel Irimescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gyula Mészáros hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Nagyváradi AC's Roland Jakab got control of the ball when Filip Hosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Filip Hosu could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Roland Jakab however easily saved by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Paszkál in the 56th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Filip Hosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Jakab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Nagyváradi AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ottó Márkus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Jakab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Hosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Marin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ottó Márkus's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes, Dacian Jurăscu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cosula-BTF- and the Nagyváradi AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Cosula-BTF- getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Dacian Jurăscu hit a great ball. Ottó Márkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ovidiu Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Máté Paszkál ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nagyváradi AC's Roland Jakab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacian Jurăscu in the 86th minute of play. Ovidiu Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máté Paszkál, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nagyváradi AC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nagyváradi AC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
