Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Özgür Özbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Esen Sanal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Krisztián Véber notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of LOI's George Buturugã. George Buturugã was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sulo Montaña might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esen Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sulo Montaña ran back to his position shaking his head. Esen Sanal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sulo Montaña in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Augusto in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Buturugã saved LOI from getting behind. In the 15th match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgür Özbay to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Krisztián Véber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. Sulo Montaña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esen Sanal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. LOI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Habib Durukan in the 35th minute. LOI's Habib Durukan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Esen Sanal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 39 minutes into the game, Renato Augusto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. George Buturugã was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sulo Montaña to strike the kick off in the second half. Renato Augusto took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Buturugã. George Buturugã dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sulo Montaña in the 57th minute of play. Sulo Montaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esen Sanal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sulo Montaña's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Sulo Montaña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esen Sanal was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Özbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Habib Durukan was slow to take the kick. During this time LOI's players had a chance to rest. Eriberto Segio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hamdi Ortan in the 73rd minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Buturugã made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Krisztián Véber sent off a good shot on target. If Renato Augusto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Kerimhan Cevher came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
