Henry Fagerbergs short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Fabiano Pombal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Per Stenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Pombal having to interfere. Magne Gunnarsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Gerber's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 34th minute, Arsene De Meesemaeckere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabiano Pombal but with some difficulty. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Henry Fagerberg scored 2-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabiano Pombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Arsene De Meesemaeckere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Rodolfo Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Fabiano Pombal got control of the ball when Per Tunström tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abelardo Koehler to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Henry Fagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
