Arturo Arano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio Ramos having to make a save. Toro Martínez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Cássio Ramos made a huge save. In the 11th minute Janne Töpperwien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Janne Töpperwien came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Karhulan Veikot's zone, Toro Martínez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Ramos came out of the goal and Toro Martínez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Feliksas Fenichev hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ohto Lamminen in the 40th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Harmsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. István Vida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toro Martínez to make the kick off. Cássio Ramos came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 55 played minutes, Despidida AFC's Emanuel Lucila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cássio Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Despidida AFC reached it. Arturo Arano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Ramos having to interfere. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Ancho Branca. Cássio Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Tino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Tino came free, but Cássio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but Cássio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
