Gustavo Bernebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Açıkalın, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 24th minute of the match Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC got a corner. Amboy FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oğuzalp Yetiş ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Oğuzalp Yetiş to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustavo Bernebe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Millrick Moya to maneuver through the defense. Amboy FC's Roberto Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Amboy FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oğuzalp Yetiş took the corner. With 35 minutes on the clock, Sergio Orlondo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Amboy FC! When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Atilla Açıkalın took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Gustavo Bernebe to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilla Açıkalın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Goleš. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Açıkalın in the 54th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Atilla Açıkalın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's goalkeeper Batıkan Muhsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Goleš. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amboy FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Bernebe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amboy FC's Gustavo Bernebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napoleon Podolski in the 71st minute of play. Agamenón do Nascimento made a great header on Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's corner, it was just that Amboy FC's Gustavo Bernebe managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 75th minute Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner. Hasan Tahsin Polatalp went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Amboy FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Atilano Mantzio hit a great ball. If Ulf Bokelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Loco Loco threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Agamenón do Nascimento quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 83 minutes Amboy FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hasan Tahsin Polatalp who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Zacarias Goleš kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Batıkan Muhsin. That made the score 4-2 in the 93 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximino Donzel during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Maximino Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
