Botinho FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Nóbrega got free with Maximo Horquizar in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximo Horquizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Nóbrega in the 24th minute. Isaias Jakue took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Magalhães. Hílton Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Botinho FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sporting Buceo were winning 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Nóbrega made a kick off. Maximo Horquizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Barra, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
