Atilla Açıkalın took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Magalhães. Hílton Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Atilla Açıkalın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Batıkan Muhsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Atilla Açıkalın came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Botinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oğuzalp Yetiş took the corner. The corner led Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Oğuzalp Yetiş to fire away a dangerous shot which Hílton Magalhães despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Hílton Magalhães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães got control of the ball when Atilla Açıkalın tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Atilla Açıkalın. But to his dismay, Atilla Açıkalın quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Marco Nóbrega hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Atilla Açıkalın nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hílton Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Napoleon Podolski. But to his dismay, Napoleon Podolski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Atilla Açıkalın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Botinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oğuzalp Yetiş took the corner. Atilla Açıkalın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oğuzalp Yetiş in the 44th minute. Oğuzalp Yetiş made a great header on Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's corner, it was just that Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães managed to reach the ball for a save. When Atilla Açıkalın came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilla Açıkalın couldn't finish the play. When Ulf Bokelund fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's protests and gave Ulf Bokelund a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Bokelund.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilla Açıkalın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilla Açıkalın in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Magalhães saved Botinho FC from getting behind. In the 54th minute of the match Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC got a corner. Botinho FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oğuzalp Yetiş ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilla Açıkalın in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Magalhães saved Botinho FC from getting behind. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Dadá Falcão with Egídio Ortiz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Atilla Açıkalın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute Atilla Açıkalın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Botinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Falcão to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes Botinho FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oğuzalp Yetiş who took care of the corner kick. 68 minutes into the match, Atilla Açıkalın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton Magalhães. Botinho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilla Açıkalın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Açıkalın in the 71st minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Atilla Açıkalın sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Atilla Açıkalın got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Hasan Tahsin Polatalp was substituted for Kurtuluş Senih. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC made a substitution. Kasper Häll replaced Atilla Açıkalın. Ulf Bokelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Magalhães having to interfere. When Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Kasper Häll in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botinho FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Dionísio charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Dionísio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hasan Tahsin Polatalp was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Kasper Häll, in the 96th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC had won after a very even match.
