The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Manea in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Vernescu in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Zygmunt Koprowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Jaizki got free with Zygmunt Koprowski in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şevket Çağa in the 15th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Şevket Çağa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Manea, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Vernescu in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zygmunt Koprowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şevket Çağa in the 24th minute. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Iurea in the 28th minute of play. The BVB 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zygmunt Koprowski should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Marin Manea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şevket Çağa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şevket Çağa to maneuver through the defense. Marin Manea came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. In the 92nd minute of the match Paolo Caradaro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zygmunt Koprowski skillfully saved the ball. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Caragea in the 94th minute of the match. When BVB 09's Octavian Caragea, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for BVB 09. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atlético Atlanta had won after a very even match.
