In the 3rd minute Amador Venceslao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by River's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Tartalo was slow to take the kick. During this time Soroca F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Wilfried Van Cauwenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Cosme Fernendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 17th minute of play forced River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Adrián Espadas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Fernendo was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Amador Venceslao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Fernendo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 46 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilfried Van Cauwenberg came free, but Vitaliy Vischak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nereo Argina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cosme Fernendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrián Espadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adrián Espadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vitaliy Vischak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Van Cauwenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Vitaliy Vischak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfried Van Cauwenberg in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when River was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosme Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Lisandro Beltxe got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 74th minute of play forced River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Godofredo Quilino notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of River's Cosme Fernendo. Cosme Fernendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, River's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Necula came free, but Cosme Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soroca F.C. were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after River's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zézinho Neiva took the corner. The corner led to Soroca F.C.'s Godofredo Quilino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 84 minutes into the match, River's goalkeeper Cosme Fernendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Quilino. In the 86th minute Răzvan Necula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Răzvan Necula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cosme Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Răzvan Necula sent off a good shot on target. Răzvan Necula scored 0-6 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Fernendo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cosme Fernendo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Răzvan Necula went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Soroca F.C. played a much better game than River and deserved their victory. The River players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
