Jasper Opdebeeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 21 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Blake Vogt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jasper Opdebeeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Travis Oakley put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Vancouver Reds:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Bruges:s goal. 33 minutes into the match, Aldo Quick notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Bruges's Jasper Opdebeeck. Jasper Opdebeeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jasper Opdebeeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Quick, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Vancouver Reds were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after FC Bruges's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enrique Malone took the corner. Vancouver Reds's Enrique Malone was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jasper Opdebeeck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 41st minute Blake Vogt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasper Opdebeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jasper Opdebeeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Quick in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Gregorie Van Beersel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Quick to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Blake Vogt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jasper Opdebeeck was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bruges's zone, Blake Vogt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jasper Opdebeeck came out of the goal and Blake Vogt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amédée Gillis hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes, FC Bruges's Antonio Eggers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Omar Duardo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bruges reached it. After 80 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Blake Vogt made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jasper Opdebeeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jasper Opdebeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apollinaire Gousse in the 85th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Blake Vogt sped through FC Bruges's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jasper Opdebeeck. Blake Vogt scored 1-7 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jasper Opdebeeck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vancouver Reds played a much better game than FC Bruges and deserved their victory. The FC Bruges players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
