The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Duardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Francis Coignard threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vancouver Reds's Enrique Malone quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat got control of the ball when Aldo Quick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustave Lechat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blake Vogt, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Blake Vogt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave Lechat having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Reds's Enrique Malone got a free kick in the 28th minute. Omar Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florent Travers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of R.C. Alexandre Dubar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Enrique Malone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustave Lechat skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Florent Travers hit a great ball.
