MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dan Stelaru in the 18th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Liviu Mincu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bruges's Jasper Opdebeeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liviu Mincu scored 3-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jasper Opdebeeck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jasper Opdebeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Stelaru in the 34th minute of the match. Jasper Opdebeeck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liviu Mincu in the 36th minute. Liviu Mincu came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jasper Opdebeeck could save by the left post. Dan Stelaru scored 5-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jasper Opdebeeck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jasper Opdebeeck made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Liviu Mincu sent off a good shot on target.

After 51 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Thys Eli. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Mincu in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jasper Opdebeeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Dan Stelaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jasper Opdebeeck was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Liviu Mincu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasper Opdebeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dan Stelaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There was no doubt that MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were the better team. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
