The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 19th minute, Steven Puttemans made a precise shot to the right of Vlad Voican. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Nicolae Panciu lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 22 minutes into the game, one of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vlad Voican had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Steven Puttemans's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Degraef in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of SK Mons booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Stelaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basarab Coșereanu in the 36th minute of play. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Puttemans in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Basarab Coșereanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Osmond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Degraef's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Degraef helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Coșereanu in the 42nd minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Connor Osmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Puttemans. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Mincu to make the kick off. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when SK Mons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şeref Erez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor Osmond acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dan Stelaru. After 64 minutes of play, SK Mons's Steven Puttemans made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Voican was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Di Ping Jun to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Di Ping Jun got a free kick in the 70th minute. The long shot by Dan Stelaru in the 70th minute really tested Connor Osmond's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 78 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Tony Degraef. SK Mons's Connor Osmond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save SK Mons from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Degraef in the 83rd minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Coșereanu came free, but Connor Osmond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Connor Osmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Coșereanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Liviu Mincu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Osmond having to interfere.
