FC Bruges's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nick Daniels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. SK Mons's Rein Bautmans was substituted for Di Ping Jun. Nick Daniels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Opdebeeck having to interfere. Jasper Opdebeeck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Daniels in the 69th minute. Matthis de Pelsmaker kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The SK Mons players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
