In the 3rd minute, Dalmacio Taurino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Coelho. In the 13th minute Cássio do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Taurino's late challenge caught a SeleSantos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Taurino helped the player get up and apologised. Roberto Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Txurio in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, SeleSantos FC's Norberto Trevisan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Norberto Trevisan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SeleSantos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Norberto Trevisan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of SeleSantos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Patadura FC:s goal. In the 27th minute of the match Ricardinho Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Oliveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Vergaray in the 29th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Txurio came free, but Roberto Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Txurio spun around in front of the goal 33 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SeleSantos FC's goal. Panos Stavrelis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Oliveira. SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute, Eurico Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Vergaray recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto Oliveira. Tiburcio Vergaray showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Eduardo Braga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, SeleSantos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Txurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juninho Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Vânderson de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Quintan came free, but Roberto Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Txurio in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diego Txurio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Patadura FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Luiz Eduardo Braga scored to the left of an out of position Jano França, making the score, 4-1. The audience was convinced that Diego Txurio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Oliveira was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Patadura FC's Jano França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio do Vale in the 79th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Saverio Havier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roberto Oliveira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 86 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Coelho. 88 minutes into the game, SeleSantos FC's Cássio do Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jano França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After 92nd play minutes Diego Txurio shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Roberto Oliveira and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Patadura FC could leave the field as winners, despite SeleSantos FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
